Type: Hybrid. M to F, 10am-4pm in-office with availability from 9am-5pm, and Fridays work from home. Evenings and weekends as requested.
Join Midnight’s dynamic team! We’re hiring a Law Clerk with hands-on experience in Ontario real estate law – including landlord/tenant matters, mortgages, property management, and transactions – along with corporate and commercial law.
This full-time GTA-based role offers the chance to work on a wide range of files while contributing directly to Midnight’s expanding portfolio of developments and businesses. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and want to make a tangible impact, we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing real estate transactions from start to finish, including sales, purchases, leases, and mortgages
- Handling landlord-tenant matters, including LTB applications and hearings
- Preparing and organizing corporate/commercial documents, including incorporations, amendments, and minute books
- Conducting due diligence searches (title, corporate, PPSA, etc.)
- Drafting, reviewing, and finalizing contracts, agreements, and closing documents
- Liaising with clients, lawyers, lenders, and government agencies
- Monitoring deadlines, maintaining organized files, and supporting lawyers on complex matters with minimal supervision
- Assisting with property management, ensuring compliance with rules and regulations
What We’re Looking For
- 3-5 years of law clerk experience in real estate and corporate/commercial law
- Law Clerk diploma or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of Ontario’s landlord/tenant laws and real estate practices
- Proficiency with Teraview, Conveyancer, Unity, and MS Office
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities at once
- Professional communication skills and a client-first approach
